My EXOTICS section is very special to me. Over the years, I’ve had the great opportunity to pull out some of those special talents that got me into the business of custom painting in the first place. The airbrush muraling, the specialty lettering and gold leaf techniques, the theme designs encompassing an owners passion and wishes…

These are some of my favorites. They all have a special story and meaning behind them. It’s been my honor to be trusted to bring these ideas to the boat and automotive canvas

Hard Decisions

This project was probably my most difficult airbrushing and design jobs. The Hard Decisions Sunsation F-4 is one gorgeous theme boat that will be on tour on the poker run circuit, debuting in 2021. Owned by Jason Tolliver, the design is a storyboard of the good vs. evil, devil/angel theme. I spent 10 months of my spare time painting this. Over 500 hours of airbrushing alone. 800+ hours total in this scheme.

The demonic starboard side features the creature with his leathery wings and color shifting eyes that appear to watch you as you walk down the side of the boat. The 4 aces card hand and the human/primate skull prompting the argument between Darwinism and Celestial/Devine creation that is all on fire.

The port side is a celestial mix of statuesque and sensual angels, a Roman Catholic cathedral arch, a celestial time piece that emanates bilge water from the 11th hour time hands, freehand scrolling and the smoky angel wing intertwining itself amongst the mural.

The angel and demon eventually come together on the deck to comingle and copulate, finding a balance of coexistence in the physical world.

The entire boat is pearl coated to make it glow on those beautiful sunny days. I can’t wait to see this in the water.

Red Dragon is the second project that I’ve painted for Chris Wall from Texas. This project was an intensely difficult project for the tea here at MTCP. The airbrushing took over 400 hours alone. The graphics include a Celtic design embedded under candy transparent paint, airbrushed flames, airbrushed cloud patterns across the back of the boat, gold leaf lettering, all of the gauges were painted individually, the seats were embroidered with the Red Dragon logo.

This boat featured a pair of 1400+ hp engines and was considered the world’s fastest 36 catamaran. It has since been tuned down to lower the speed limit for insurance purposes.

Taking Liberty

When I’m asked what my favorite boats or who my favorite clients are, I instantly think of Bill and Monica Reifer. The owners of this beautiful 43 foot CHECKMATE have become my top preferred , just great people. I could only wish that people could follow their lead and example in life.

If you ever get the chance to meet the Reifers, please take a moment to do so and take a close look at their beautiful boat.
